Southampton, Pa., USA, June 09, 2015 – Environmental Tectonics Corporation’s (OTC Pink: ETCC) (“ETC” or the “Company”) Simulation Division, located in Orlando, Fla., has been awarded a contract to deliver an Advanced Disaster Management Simulator (“ADMS(TM)”) to the Rochester Fire Department. Purchased with funding awarded through the Department of Homeland Security’s Assistance to Firefighters Grant (“AFG”), the Rochester Fire Department will use ADMS to train their Fire Officers, Technical Rescue Specialists and Hazardous Materials Teams.

The installed ADMS-Command virtual reality training suite will include an Incident Command station, three Field Unit stations, and an additional viewing monitor for classroom learning and observation. The training suite will be located at nearby Monroe Community College, whose faculty will work with the fire department in program development.

ADMS will provide an immersive simulation training tool for over 500 members of the Rochester Fire Department and neighboring departments from senior level Fire Officers to new Firefighters and everyone in between. The simulator includes a variety of incident locations, physics-based simulation of smoke and fire behavior, as well as hazardous materials, to exercise knowledge of fire behavior, practice standard operating procedures, and train critical decision making skills in a virtual environment.

“The implementation of the ADMS-Command simulation system into the Rochester Fire Department Training Program will transform our current training programs.” said Andrew Lonthair, Rochester Fire Department Fire Lieutenant. “The addition of immersive and realistic hands-on virtual incident command training to our department will provide new and future fire officers with the knowledge and skills necessary to be the most prepared responders they can be.”
