ETC Biomedical Systems Group Announces Global Expansion via Hyperbaric Chamber Sales Through Medical Equipment Distributor In Former Soviet Republic
SOUTHAMPTON, Pa., September 27, 2011 — Environmental Tectonics Corporation’s (www.etcusa.com) (OTCQB: ETCC) (“ETC” or the “Company”) BioMedical Systems Group (www.etchyperbaricchambers.com) has contracted with an undisclosed medical equipment distributor in a former Soviet republic for the delivery and installation of two BARA-MED XD® (http://etchyperbaricchambers.com/hyperbaric-chamber-xd) monoplace hyperbaric chambers.
The BARA-MED® XD offers an increased tube diameter, accommodating patients up to 700lbs. The XD’s optimized chamber size additionally lowers operational costs and improves clinical efficiency by offering a lower oxygen consumption rate.
Provided standard with BARA-PRESS software and the SMOOTH—RIDE (http://etchyperbaricchambers.com/smooth-ride) curvilinear compression protocol, the BARA MED XD will enhance patient comfort by reducing incidences of barotraumas by 67%, and increasing the probability the patient will complete all treatment sessions as prescribed.
Jamal Radford, International Marketing Manager, stated, “We are very pleased to include our BARA-MED XD® monoplace hyperbaric chamber to this growing market. This larger model chamber will attract more opportunities for sales, and enhance our brand in this part of the world.”
