ETC Promotes Key Manager

Southampton, Pa, October 19, 2006: - Environmental Tectonics Corporation (AMEX: ETC) ("ETC" or the "Company") today announced the promotion of Alper Kus to Vice President of Software Development. Mr. Kus, originally from Golbasi, Turkey, has held many positions since 1997 with ETC both in their Ankara, Turkey, subsidiary and at ETC's headquarters in Southampton, PA, including most recently as Software Division Manager. As Vice President, Mr. Kus' responsibilities will include overseeing all software development for ETC Southampton including; the National Aerospace Training and Research (NASTAR) Center, ETC's Aircrew Training Systems products and the state of the art Advanced Tactical Fighter Systems.

Mr. Kus holds a degree in Computer Engineering and Information Sciences from Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey.

William F. Mitchell, President and Chairman of ETC, stated, " Alper has been a key member of our software team for many years. He plays a pivotal role in coordinating software design and development efforts between ETC Southampton and our Turkish and Polish subsidiaries in Ankara and Warsaw. ETC's software in simulation is the most advanced in the world of simulation and this is due in large part to Alper and his team. I am pleased to offer him this promotion."
