ETC Hires Navy Pilot as Key Director

Southampton, Pa,September 19, 2006: - Environmental Tectonics Corporation (Amex: ETC) ("ETC" or the "Company") announced that they recently hired Ken Ginader, Captain, USN (ret) to serve as Director of Authentic Fighting Systems for Tactical Aviation in its Aircrew Training Systems (ATS) Division. Ken brings 30 years of tactical flight experience to the development and marketing of the ATFS-400 Authentic Tactical Fighting System.

The ATFS-400's high-fidelity training environment combines with precise motion parameters to generate the G forces of a tactical jet fighter. This delivers the most realistic training experience possible. A modular design enables an authentic cockpit replica and dynamic performance, along with the mission systems and interactive elements of any type and model of aircraft in a specific tactical environment.

Ken commented, "My task will be to expand the ATFS-400 into tactical flight operations. With ATFS-400, tactical aviation forces will be able to fly more operational training missions in an authentic fighting system environment and at the same time maintain a high operational state of readiness. This carries the additional benefits of reducing unit operation and maintenance costs and extending tactical aircraft service life."

William F. Mitchell, ETC's President and Chairman, noted "Ken brings the right special expertise to ETC as we continue to establish ourselves as the world supplier for Authentic Tactical Fighting Systems. I am pleased to welcome him to our team."
