ETC Announces the Formation of the Defense Business Development Advisory Board

Southampton, PA: August 15, 2007 - Environmental Tectonics Corporation (AMEX:ETC) ("ETC" or the "Company") today announced the formation of a Defense Business Development Advisory Board which will assist and advise ETC in the development of the utilization and deployment strategy of the Authentic Tactical Fighting System (ATFS-400TM) for U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps and the UK Royal Air Force as well as foreign air forces.

The Defense Business Development Advisory Board is chaired by Ken Ginader, CAPT USN (ret), serving ETC as Director of Authentic Fighting Systems for Tactical Aviation, and is comprised of retired senior military officers, including Hal Hornburg, Gen USAF (ret), Advisor, US Air Force Business Development; Mike Malone, VADM USN (ret), Advisor, Naval Air Forces Business Development; Air Commodore Rick Peacock-Edwards, CBE AFC FRAeS FCIM, Advisor, UK Business Development; with Dick Leland, President, NASTAR Center acting as a Techical Liaison to the Advisory Board.

The Advisory Board's responsibilities include introducing ATFS-400 to U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, UK Royal Air Force and international decision makers, assisting and advising ETC in determining from key military decision makers and tactical air combat leaders what an acceptable acquisition strategy would be for U.S.Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps and UK Royal Air Force, and assisting and advising ETC in the development of ATFS-400B as a viable adjunct to U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps and UK Royal Air Force tactical training to replace some percentage of in- aircraft tactical training.

ATFS-400 is a high fidelity interactive, virtual tactical air combat maneuvering, fighting system that is integrated into a state-of-the-art high performance "flyable" centrifuge motion platform. ATFS-400's modular design enables it to authentically simulate the cockpit, dynamic performance, mission systems and interactive elements of a specific type/model/series aircraft in a specific tactical environment. ATFS-400 precisely models the real world aircraft and threat dynamics. Pilot inputs are processed by the ATFS-400 aeromodel to simultaneously drive the virtual (sight and sound) cues and command the multi-axis centrifuge to correctly produce the inertial G-forces. ATFS-400 authentically simulates the flight dynamics providing both the virtual cues and physical stresses experienced during combat maneuvers correlated to the specific tactical aircraft. With ATFS-400, pilots will be able to achieve training goals safely and economically while maintaining and elevating aircrew combat readiness.
