ETC Simulation Receives New ADMS Contract from Netherlands Institute for Safety

Southampton, PA, July 10, 2008. Environmental Tectonics Corporation's (AMEX:ETC) ("ETC" or the "Company") Simulation Division today announced the signing of a contract with the Netherlands Institute for Safety, NIFV, to add new capabilities to their ADMS-COMMAND, Advanced Disaster Management Simulator.

The contract consists of a new multiple car crash scenario and a rescue diver scenario. Both new scenarios focus on incident command decision-making at the Crew Commander or Lieutenant level. Trainees exercise in open-ended scenarios in immersive three-dimensional environments, and command virtual team members via radio. The virtual crews are driven by embedded artificial intelligence, and can respond vocally to the trainee about their progress on a given task. The new scenarios will be delivered with specific evaluation and scoring components to train and assess based on national standards.

NIFV is a national center of expertise with four Academies: Fire Academy, Academy for Crisis Management, Emergency Medical Service Academy and Academy for Leadership. Since 2001 NIFV has trained thousands of emergency responders with their mobile ADMS team training systems, focusing on training multi-agency command and control, education and research. NIFV continually upgrades and expands their ADMS systems to improve and grow their training capabilities.

ADMS is a high fidelity interactive team training simulation platform that offers a proven methodology to provide cost-effective synthetic incident and disaster management experience.

Since 1995, ADMS has been used to train emergency responders around the world to better prepare to respond to and mitigate incidents. By presenting engaging, real-world environments and stressful scenarios, ADMS enables response and rescue personnel to perform and enhance team and individual skill sets at all levels of response. It is also used to test and validate emergency response and management plans. ADMS bridges the gap between tabletop exercises and real world experience.
