Malay Cosmonauts Train in the ETC ATFS-400

SOUTHAMPTON, PA, March 23, 2006 -- Environmental Tectonics Corporation (Amex: ETC) ("ETC" or the "Company") announces the selection and training of the first Malaysian cosmonauts in the revolutionary ETC ATFS-400 Space Travel and Tactical Flight Simulator.

The first Malaysian cosmonauts were announced at a ceremony officiated by the Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister, on March 14, 2006. During his remarks he noted that the ETC made RMAF ATFS-400 is the world's most advanced Space and Tactical Flight Simulator.

The four cosmonauts were selected from a group of 11,000 applicants using the ETC ATFS-400 unique space and flight simulator. They will continue their training in Russia where one will be selected to serve as a crewmember on the International Space Station in October 2007. Their backgrounds range from an airline pilot to a hospital university medical officer and from a military dental surgeon to a senior quality engineer.

Four interactive systems in the ATFS-400 create authentic simulation of space vehicle maneuvering including authentic G-Forces experienced during launch/re-entry and space craft maneuvering and a dome visual display which creates a panoramic world view.

ETC's President and CEO, Mr. William F. Mitchell stated "The successful use of the ATFS-400 for cosmonaut selection is a great accomplishment for Malaysia and ETC. The ATFS-400's versatility allows it to support many training missions including high performance tactical flight training to space training and research. ETC congratulates the 4 cosmonauts and extends wishes for their continued success."
