ETC Forms New Subsidiary and Appoints Division President

Southampton, Pa, January 5, 2007: - Southampton, PA, January 5, 2007 - Environmental Tectonics Corporation (AMEX:ETC) ("ETC" or the "Company") announced today that the National Aerospace Training and Research (NASTAR) CenterSM has been established as a wholly owned subsidiary. Richard A. (Dick) Leland, currently ETC's Vice President of Aircrew Training Systems, has been appointed President of the Center.

Mr. Leland joined ETC in April 1996 to direct ETC's AeroMedical Training Institute (AMTI). He has overseen all training activities, both at ETC's Southampton, Pennsylvania headquarters and at ten worldwide sites.

Mr. Leland holds a B.A. in Biology, M.A. in Human Resources Development. He has held National Board Certification as a Hyperbaric Technologist and has 25 years of progressive experience as a course developer, training manager, platform instructor, personnel and project manager, human resource specialist, operations director, and hyperbaric team manager. Mr. Leland is a former USAF pilot with over 3100 hours in high performance jet aircraft and has also piloted a variety of general aviation aircraft. He is a retired USAF Field Grade officer with over 20 years of service.

Mr. Leland said, "I am excited to be leading the NASTAR Center as we establish a state-of-the-art facility for aviation and space training and research."

The NASTAR Center will accommodate the training and research requirements of military and commercial aviation along with private and government-sponsored space travel.

William F. Mitchell, ETC's President and Chairman, stated, "Dick has been developmental in expanding ETC's aeromedical training business. He is a perfect fit to manage the NASTAR Center whose purpose will be provide the aerospace industry with an economical alternative to meet their growing training and research needs."
