SOUTHAMPTON, Pa., July 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Environmental
Tectonics Corporation's (Amex: ETC) ("ETC" or the "Company") Sterilization
Division announced today it has been awarded a major contract from Duke
University, Durham, NC, to supply two specially constructed cage & rack steam
autoclaves as part of their new Global Health Research Building project.
ETC's consultative engineering approach and ability to provide the largest
capacity equipment specifically designed to fit within the confines available
gave them a noticeable advantage over many other autoclave manufacturers. ETC
worked in close cooperation with Bovis Lend Lease, the project management
group, in custom designing the most optimal sized unit before being selected
for the job.
Mark Compo, Director of Sterilizer Sales, commented, "This award is
exceptionally pleasing to our division based on the due diligence and
preparation put into this tremendous opportunity. Together with the extremely
talented team from BLL and Duke, we were able to hammer out the most optimal
unit available for the University's application. This project again highlights
ETC's competence and versatility bringing tremendous value to our clients
through our open-minded design approach. This contract supports ETC's design
and manufacturing flexibility for which we are clearly recognized as an
industry leader."
William F. Mitchell, ETC's President and Chairman, stated, "We are very
happy to add Duke University to our long customer list of academic
institutions who utilize our flexible sterilizers for these applications. I
look forward to a continuing and satisfying relationship with Duke."
