February 3, 2005
Southampton, PA-February 3, 2005-Environmental Tectonics Corporation (Amex: ETC) ("ETC" or the "Company") announced today the sale of a GAT-II® General Aviation Trainer to C.N. Romtehnica S.A., Bucharest, Romania.

C.N. ROMTEHNICA S.A. is a Romanian Government National Company under the coordination of the Romanian Ministry of National Defence. C.N. ROMTEHNICA S.A. is Romania's main defence importer and exporter, with more than 30 years of experience in the international trade of defence and training equipment.

According to Mr. Aurel Cazacu, General Director of C.N. ROMTEHNICA S.A., "The Romanian Air Force will use the GAT-II® to provide their pilots' training in the hazards associated with spatial disorientation during flight. The GAT-II® has been bought for the benefit of the National Institute of Aeronautical and Spatial Medicine, which is the only Romanian medical institute authorized to perform selection and medical expertise for the aeronautic personnel. The main goal of the National Institute of Aeronautical and Spatial Medicine is to provide for the military and civilian pilots a proper training in accordance with the international and N.A.T.O. standards."

Spatial Disorientation training emphasizes the physiological hazards which pilots could experience. Statistics show that when spatial disorientation is involved in a mishap, nine out of ten of those mishaps are fatal.

The C.N ROMTEHNICA S.A. GAT-IIā is equipped with fourteen of the most common, and dangerous, Spatial Disorientation Illusions. Glenn King, ETC's Aircrew Training Systems Applications Manager, said, "The C.N. ROMTEHNICA S.A GAT-IIā is the most technologically advanced trainer for Spatial Disorientation training, and the only one of it's type available in Romania. Their GAT-IIā is configured as a single engine Turboprop aircraft and is equipped with a specialized Profile Editor, which gives their operators the capability to develop other Spatial Disorientation illusions in addition to specialized training flights."

The GAT-II® General Aviation Trainer is available in Single Engine, Multi-engine, Helicopter and Regional Jet configurations.

Each GAT-II® supports Visual Flight Rules (VFR), Instrument Flight Rules (IFR), Spatial Disorientation, and Mishap Prevention training. The motion platform provides roll, pitch, and yaw motions in response to pilot input. The visual display provides a photo-realistic terrain database and accurate modeling of major cities and terrain features. The list of impressive features includes selectable meteorological conditions, instructor selectable malfunctions, various map views and airports and navaids.

ETC designs, develops, installs and maintains aircrew training systems, public entertainment systems, process simulation systems (sterilization and environmental), clinical hyperbaric systems, environmental testing and simulation systems, and related products for domestic and international customers.
