ENVIRONMENTAL TECTONICS CORPORATION - Press Release
ETC Announces that America's First Zoo Goes Hi-Tech with Wild Earth(™)
August 24, 2004
SOUTHAMPTON, Pa., Aug. 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Entertainment Technology Corporation ("EnTCo"), a wholly owned subsidiary of Environmental Tectonics Corporation (Amex: ETC), today announced the award of three new Wild Earth(TM): African Plains rides from the Philadelphia Zoo, America's first zoo. The contract calls for EnTCo to tailor the current Wild Earth(TM) story and educational content to support the specific educational goals of the Philadelphia Zoo. All three simulators will be delivered and commissioned in early Spring 2005.

David A. Mitchell, Director of Sales & Marketing for EnTCo, said, "We are pleased to be continuing our partnership with the Philadelphia Zoo and to be associated with such a fantastic institution. We at EnTCo are committed to helping our clients deliver on their mission in a fun and interactive fashion, and Wild Earthä is a perfect fit for the Philadelphia Zoo."

In Wild Earth™, guests will discover the thrill and excitement of an African experience and marvel at the array of wildlife and rich landscapes of the Serengeti. The physically modeled animation offers a kaleidoscope of images and memories never to be forgotten. In EnTCo's simulator, two riders (a driver and a photographer) sit securely in the truck-themed capsule to experience this fully interactive photo safari. The simulator features 3 axes of motion (pitch, roll and heave) that provide a one-of-a-kind, physical, thrilling and educational experience at the driver's control. In Wild Earth™, the riders are in full control, navigating the vehicle through the stunning landscapes of Africa on a quest for that "perfect picture". Future experiences available for the Wild Earth™ platform include Marine and Prehistoric versions. For more information on Wild Earthä or EnTCo's other ride experiences, visit www.therideworks.com

"The Philadelphia Zoo welcomes more than 1.1 million people a year," said Joseph D. Moore, chief operating officer for the Zoo. "And our mission is to help them learn about endangered animals and how they can protect them. We believe one of the best ways to accomplish this is by giving our guests enjoyable, compelling, interactive experiences that create a powerful connection to wild animals and their natural homes. That's the kind of experience that Wild Earth™ will deliver."
