SOUTHAMPTON, Pa., May 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Environmental Tectonics
Corporation (Amex: ETC) continues to maintain its position as the premier
supplier of environmental test equipment in China. ETC was recently awarded a
contract in excess of $1 million to build a drive-in chamber for Hafei Motor
Company in Haerbin, China. The new facility will be able to perform air
conditioning system performance tests; high and low temperature tests as well
as emissions certification tests. ETC will be working with Burke E Porter who
is providing the chassis dynamometer and the robot driver and Horiba who is
supplying the emissions equipment.
The new facility will be used to support Hafei's long-term research and
development program. The company is a leading minivan maker and a national
small motor vehicles source in China. Minicar production started in 1993 on a
very small scale which has gradually increased. Their product line has been
enhanced by licenses with Daewoo and Mitsubishi and the development of a
Pininfarina-designed minivan.
