SOUTHAMPTON, Pa., April 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Environmental
Tectonics Corporation's (Amex: ETC) Sterilizer Division announced today that
the company has been awarded a second order from a leading pharmaceutical
company located in Delaware to supply a bulk cage and rack steam sterilizer.
Under the contract, ETC will supply another steam sterilizer for
processing of items required within their research area. Water conservation
and space constraints are primary concerns in this location. ETC's technical
approach will optimize water consumption during all phases of the
sterilization process. The sterilizer itself will be configured to minimize
the footprint required while maximizing the internal capacity. Additionally,
the sterilizer will be provided with ETC's standard PLC control system, which
includes a modem. The modem enables ETC to provide on-line technical support,
remotely from its factory.
Michael W. Allen, Vice President, BioMedical Systems and Sterilizer Group,
commented - "Given the competitive marketplace and general downturn in the
economy, the cost of ownership is something that is becoming increasingly
important to our customers. We understand that our ability to provide the
technical solutions needed in this situation and to satisfy the delivery
requirements were primary selection criteria. In addition, our factory-direct
parts and service organization supports all ETC sterilizers thus ensuring our
customers benefit from service carried out by factory-trained technicians, all
of whom have shop-floor production experience and truly know our equipment.
This optimizes product through-life costs in comparison to other suppliers.
ETC's commitment to our customers is to provide the quality and service that
allows us to build long-term, mutually beneficial relationships. I am
extremely pleased that our client recognized these benefits when selecting
this equipment."
ETC designs, develops, installs and maintains aircrew training systems,
public entertainment systems, process simulation systems (sterilization and
environmental), clinical hyperbaric systems, environmental testing and
simulation systems, and related products for domestic and international
customers.
