Southampton, PA. June 6, 2002. Environmental Tectonics Corporation (AMEX:ETC) today announced that Entertainment Technology Corporation (EnTCo), its wholly owned subsidiary, has retained the services of the Bruce D. Robinson Architect/Design (BDRA/D) firm to help leverage EnTCo's unique motion-based attractions technology. EnTCo has recently completed the design and engineering of a number of cutting-edge simulation attractions for a major entertainment client. With the creative design services of BDRA/D, EnTCo will create the next generation of sustained G-force attractions for the entertainment industry.
Tom Loughlin, President of EnTCo says "EnTCo's experience in motion-platforms, human physiology and visualization is second to none in the industry. With assistance from BDRA/D, EnTCo will be developing the next-generation, sustained G-force ride attraction as a turnkey solution."
BDRA/D has provided high quality architecture and design services to the parks and attraction industry for the past twenty years. Their reputation is built on uniquely creative yet practical designs and a thorough understanding of the marketing and operational issues critical to successful projects.
"This is an exciting opportunity for us to help create an entirely new major attraction," says Bruce Robinson. "EntCo is a perfect partner. They have mastered both the technology necessary to deliver a unique guest experience and the science required to make it comfortable and enjoyable to a very broad audience demographic."
EntCo is a world-class supplier of simulated ride attractions for amusement parks, location-based entertainment and specialty venues. The uniqueness of EnTCo 's ride development capability resides in its in-house, creative, software development, and multi-disciplined engineering staff, complemented by its complete turnkey capabilities -- from concept to construction. Housed in The Ride Works, EnTCo's 15,000-square-foot, three-story facility, the EnTCo development group works closely with ETC's Motion Science Institute to maximize the ride thrill features, while minimizing the potential for unwanted side effects, such as motion sickness. The use of sustained G-forces and sub-threshold motion, coupled with state-of-the-art CGI visual cues, gives riders a unique experience they can only get on an EnTCo attraction!
ETC also designs, develops, installs, and maintains aircrew training systems, public entertainment systems, process simulation systems (sterilization and environmental), clinical hyperbaric systems, environmental testing and simulation systems, and related products for domestic and international customers.
