February 4, 2002
Southampton, PA: February 4, 2002. ENVIRONMENTAL TECTONICS CORPORATION (AMEX: ETC) has been awarded a contract to provide Aircrew Training Equipment and to upgrade and modernize existing equipment at an Air Force Training Center in South America.

The $2 million-plus contract will include the provision of ETC's GYRO IPT™ Integrated Physiological Trainer, a single-place ETC Bara-Med® Hyperbaric Chamber, and a ETC Night Vision/Night Vision Goggle Trainer, and the modernization/upgrade of a High Altitude Training Chamber. The Training Chamber was originally manufactured by ETC in 1978, and has been in continuous use since it's installation.

The contract includes an in-depth training program (factory and on-site) by ETC's Aeromedical Training Institute (AMTI) for Aviation Physiology, Operation and Maintenance. The contract also provides for installation and commissioning at the Customer's location, plus ongoing logistics support.

According to William F. Mitchell, ETC's President and CEO, this project will make the Customer's Training Center the most modern and completely equipped training facility in Latin America. Mitchell also stated, "We are particularly pleased to receive this contract, as it fits in very well with our long-term objective of upgrading and modernizing the almost three dozen Aeromedical Centers we have equipped around the world over the past 30 years. It also reinforces ETC's position as the predominant provider of aeromedical training facilities in the world. We see this as a significant part of a growing follow-on business with our international Customers."

ETC also designs, develops, installs and maintains aircrew training systems, public entertainment systems, process simulation systems (sterilization and environmental), clinical hyperbaric systems, environmental testing and simulation systems, and related products for domestic and international customers.
