SOUTHAMPTON, Pa., Jan. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Environmental Tectonics
Corporation's (Amex: ETC) Sterilizer Division announced today that has been
awarded another contract from a leading pharmaceutical company located in New
Jersey.
Under the contract, ETC will supply a cGMP Sanitary 3A constructed steam
autoclave/sterilizer fitted with its unique vertical rising door arrangement.
This vertical rising door design, one of three standard ETC door types, allows
clients to significantly increase chamber size and load capacity in comparison
to units with traditional sliding or swinging doors. ETC was selected because
of its ability to provide this innovative design which best utilizes valuable
facility space.
Michael W. Allen, V. P. of ETC's Biomedical Systems and Sterilizer Group,
commented, "We believe our ability and willingness to provide innovative
solutions to clients with space constraints makes the vertical rising door
autoclave an attractive alternative to costly and disruptive facility
renovations. Our technical staff is constantly thinking `outside the box' for
solutions to problems that others would simply not address. This, and other
innovations are part of our continuing initiative to expand ETC's presence in
the global pharmaceutical, research and medical device markets."
ETC designs, develops, installs and maintains steam and ethylene oxide gas
sterilization systems, environmental testing and simulation systems, aircrew
training systems, hypobaric (altitude training) chambers, deep-diving and
clinical hyperbaric medicine systems, public entertainment systems and related
products for domestic and international customers.
